Happy 2nd Birthday to our Marriage
Sarah and I are celebrating 2 years of marriage today. We were going to go out and get breakfast (maybe pancakes or waffles), then maybe just make pancakes at home, but instead we decided that we would need heavy shots of caffeine this morning, so we hit Starbucks for coffee and (cinnamon swirl coffee cake for me). On the way there, Sarah brought up a good thought:
This brought up a good little chat. We agreed that with a birthday, it's just one person living their life - maybe alone, maybe not. But with a marriage, you are celebrating two people's relationship together. That is a big deal. We decided that we might start giving presents or making cakes for people on their anniversaries. How 'bout it?
Anniversaries should be given more celebration that birthdays.
