Michael’s posterous

Michael Lynton  //  I am married to Sarah and live in Austin, TX. I like to take photos of my food and Yelp about it. I workshift by day as an IT Sales Engineer, usually from home. I'm a fanatic of the cloud, tech, & personal finance. Still figuring out what I want to be when I grow up.

There is nothing on TV

We moved out of our house just over 1 month ago. Since then, we have been house-sitting and now are staying with family.

Before we moved out, we did not have cable/satellite television service. We have Netflix and a Roku, so we typically use that or Hulu for our entertainment - as well as DTV and a trusty $10 antenna. Having access to television over the past month has really confirmed the fact that we still will not pay for television service when we move into our new house.  Frankly, because nothing is on. Nothing worth watching at least. Sure, if you have DVR then that kinda turns the tables a bit. But I would much rather make a one-time $200 - $300 investment in a HTPC, and watch Hulu and other shows off the internet.
